Do you think AI will replace your job in next 10 years?

I think it definitely speed up my job. There are lots of things that are repetitive, and can be easily done by AI.
Vikram Aditya
@pobidowski Yeah, I second that. Do you mean AI, how in general, aids you in your day-to-day life? What about AI capabilities that themselves may get advanced with time, where it's no longer just an aid? Because it will likely replace some jobs and the question is which ones first?
I don't think it will be replaced completely yet it will be very very helpful for me
Vikram Aditya
@johnberg I believe we as humans will evolve to survive with AI, but as far as AI on it's own goes, we're probably in for a massive surprise. We often underestimate what can be achieved in 10 years
@viks_rum Yes, most probably the AI revolution will bring new job positions while some others will disappear. 10 years is a really long time and we will witness the gradual evolution of jobs because of AI
SAK
No, with skills advancement and knowledge.

I think it may, it may replace most of people to be honest if we let it happen. Right now it makes my job easier as I can cut some corners and do a part of my work faster. It doesn't replace me entirely even at that part of the job. I don't exclude the possibility that AI will grow and evolve leading to speeding up and replacing parts of my job, but I hope (as it's the only thing I personally can do) that it will not happen too quickly.

Replace entirely may be a strong word, but replace substantially will likely happen. There is a saying that we often underestimate what can be achieved in 10 years. One thing is sure. AI will challenge us to the very core if we have to stay relevant.

No. "One machine can do the work of fifty ordinary men. No machine can do the work of one extraordinary man."
Vikram Aditya
@olenabomko But the definition of extraordinary itself is changing. What used to be incomprehensible a while back, for example, the creation of LLMs by smaller teams without tons of data points, is all getting fast-tracked today. And if AI replaces the work of 90% of ordinary folks, I think we as a society will have to upgrade ourselves massive to be relevant enough in a few years so that we can enjoy a particular quality of life we might have gotten used to.

I think more jobs are replaceable than people expect or want to believe. It's more of a matter of choice - will business leadership choose to replace your job or just augment it with AI?
Vikram Aditya
@edward_g Believe it or not, founders and business people are really good at heart most of the times. It's the situation and circumstances we may not have heard of which push them to take extreme steps and when it comes to that, the choice will always be to save as much as possible.
Let's see how AI can engage with community on a deep personal level and come up with ingenious personalised marketing campaigns!
Vikram Aditya
@sandradjajic I am mentally bracing for a future where even community engagement happens with a person who looks and talks exactly like us. Look at what teams like air.ai are doing :)
I don't think AI will replace my job in the next 10 years, but it will definitely change it. AI is already being used to automate tasks that were once done by humans, and this trend is only going to continue. However, I believe that AI will also create new jobs that we can't even imagine yet. So, while some jobs may be lost to AI, I think overall it will create more opportunities for humans.
Vikram Aditya
@hamza_afzal_butt This is for sure interesting but what truly matters is the ration of jobs replaced against jobs created.

I don't think so - I try to look at the example of call centres. All call centres these days use AI to prompt you with different options to provide direction. Most of the times we tend to press any button on the phone just so we can get through and talk to a human who will understand our emotions (i.e frustration). Yes AI will replace some jobs, but will never replace all jobs!
Vikram Aditya
@jadsanaknaki Have you the work of air.ai?
Jad Sanaknaki
@viks_rum Yes I have, do you think this will replace all customer service roles?
Leena Chitnis
It's already replaced mine. I'm a veteran writer.
