Do you follow a pre-launch 'to do' checklist for any upcoming launch ?
What are the some of the must do action items, 2-3 weeks before launch ?
I'm thinking of putting together a pre-launch checklist for my project.

Pre-launch should mainly include a campaign for your upcoming product and mainly to find the audience that will support your product in the first few hours. Good luck!

We made an upcoming page about 5-6 months before the launch. Had a to-do list of features we wanted released before the launch. Then once we finished those we set a date 2 weeks out and let all our members know, reached out to my network, joined some launch support groups, etc.
It's been a wild ride, and now we about to go live in about 30 minutes

Absolutely! A pre-launch to do list is vital to stay on track with everything that needs to be done. 📍
I’d say the most important tasks 2-3 weeks out from a Product Hunt launch would be:
1. Start building your audience of supporters (and let them know the date of your launch)
2. Create your ship page (add it to your website, socials, etc)
3. Begin engaging with startup communities across PH, reddit, Slack, etc to spread the word.

Hey Sanat,
It is very important to interact with and excite your active users before the launch. You should increase the excitement of your active users with various marketing strategies such as campaigns, new features, and discounts.
If you don't have any active users, you should start building an audience now.
You could try creating a Slack community.
You should notify your audience of your launch date in advance and make sure they are joined to Product Hunt.
You should create a countdown, you can use your website and social media for this. In addition, interact with your users in the channels where you create a countdown.
It would also be good to review previously launched products in similar categories, take a look at the comments and questions. What did people like the most and what did they ask the most? Do you have these?

1. Defining the prelaunch and post-launch tasks
2. Email marketing
3. Engagement on PH
4. Follows ups from the launch day
5. Track of the reviews once launch is done
1. Create an upcoming page
2. Find a Hunter
3. Create Title, Tagline, GIF, and First comment
4. Start promoting the launch on social platforms.

We're launching soon as well and some of the things I've prepared prior to 2-3 weeks were letting my audience know about the launch and coming up with some strategies and promotions.
Also, the creative parts like screenshots and taglines as well!

Since we launch too often, so it is a must-have for us. We have made a checklist that we follow to make sure we don't miss out on anything.

Yes! But It's more 3-5 weeks than 2-3 weeks.
If your audience is not familiar with Product Hunt, you should explain them the concept a long time before your launch and invite them to create an account. New comers (with a red inflatable balloon) will penalize your launch.
@thomas_l1 Based on earlier launch (Reachinfluencer), how did you warm up audience ahead of introducing them to PH ? What campaigns, channels, offer etc. did you double down on ?
@sanat_mohanty I have a strong and a large community in my field (growth) especially in my country. I focused on linkedin, indie forums and discord with private messages and special offers but I will try with leedfeader in a month

I am planning on launching https://scraft.ai before the end of this year! I personally have been preparing for around a month by creating gallery images with figma, upload a 2-min onboarding video, etc!

We followed a to-do list that included finalising our campaign, working with our hunter, and reaching out to our network in the product hunt community to let them know we were going live. We’re live today so we’ll let you know how we go!
1: make the best product possible
2: compile list of the places I want to share on launch day
3. prep tracking links to share with team
4. create email to announce launch to community
5. block off my day so I have time to promote and share!
