Do you ever buy a domain for a project and then lose interest in it?

Plenty of times I've bought domains when I've been working on an idea to all of a sudden abandon the idea and still have the domain with nothing to do with it.

Have you ever done this, and if so how do you get around this? Do you just let it expire or do you try and make something of the domain?
