Design products for non-designers?

Question

Hi all, I have to write a book proposal for a book heavy on images, but I'm not a designer. Do you have recommendations? What do you use? (I'm a writer, not a tech person, so I need something that doesn't involve coding). Thanks!

Our design team all started off by not being designers and learned Figma from scratch. We get lot's of compliments regarding the design of the app so I think it's safe to say that Figma is a great tool.

You can start with simple stuff and eventually add layers of complexity to your designs once you get more confident. I play around with it from time to time and I get better every time I use it.

Canva is made to make everybody a designer! I've also used icons from https://thenounproject.com/ that are free and https://icons8.com/illustrations
