Can OpenAI and ChatGPT influence your progress?

Question

Today I spent some time playing around with ChatGPT to see in which areas of business it can have significant impact, even if it is just to lay a foundation. I was wondering for all those out there building their first iteration of apps/products, are you or will you be making use of this technology to speed up some parts of your process? If so, what will you use it for?

I use it always and everywhere. It's a huge unblocker for me.

I mostly use it for writing copy or ads, so not too much. Sometimes, I also find it useful for summarizing results on Google.

For example, if there's a concept I don't understand, I might ask ChatGPT to summarize it for me in simple terms.

Of course, it can be wrong, but I can usually get a general feel for the correctness of the answer by looking at Google even if the explanation is mostly jargon.

For the record, I'm developing a rest API for a GPT-3 alternative using BLOOM, so there's some machine learning stuff I get ChatGPT to summarize, but I always go to Google first.

@richard_gao2 Awesome thanks for the insight here! I agree, currently I also use it to create some sort of foundation and I still find myself cross references with a simple Google search to see if it holds up. That rest API sounds exciting, good luck!
