Automation vs Manual Efforts

Which task do you do regularly where the value and knowledge you gain from your manual efforts are so great that you don't automate it? (or you simply enjoy it so much that you don't want to automate it)

This throws me back to an intervention I did in a School, but also many conversations I have with my clients. We came to the conclusion that the best way to do automation, is to keep it human. Our clients at Plezi use our unique algorithm - the smart campaigns, to have One-on-One conversations with their leads. Every , an email is sent to a lead, based on it's maturity, interest and any other information useful to the segmentation. And once it is set - it takes 0 second of your time ! Such nurturing is impossible manually - or even with basic workflows : there is simply no way you can think of, and address every possible scenario - there are thousands and thousands of different paths and behaviour ! And I am not even talking about how time consuming it is. However, the algorithm's performance depends on human based actions : it takes a human brain to build the strategy, think the funnels ahead, understand the persona and so one and so forth. I also LOVE doing my reports manually : in an Inbound Strategy, there is a lot of data and each information can drive the marketing actions a certain way. I find that always looking at the data the same way, and just filling a pre-filled template prevents me from having the big pictures and I might miss some valuable insights.

I talk with people, contractors and suppliers for 80% of my working time, I also solve problems and conflicts that have arisen, so I cannot somehow automate communication with a person, because each person is individual and a detailed approach is needed.
