Hi all, I am developing a new app called Nool (https://www.nool.care/), which is aimed at helping people take care of their loved ones through distance. We believe that technology can play a big role in making it easier to care for our elderly and we want to create a complete solution for our aging parents and the senior generation. As I'm still in the development phase, I would love to get your feedback on what features you think are most important for an app like this. I want to make sure that we are creating something that truly meets the needs of both the caregivers and the seniors. The app currently features such as medication reminders, easy and hassle-free video calls, and more personalized features to help seniors maintain an active lifestyle. What would be the most important feature that you’d like to see? Thanks, L

I've recently hired a caregiver to look after my grandfather and, like you, I also rely on various apps to streamline the caregiving process. It’s a balancing act between personal attention and digital assistance. Your app, Nool, seems like a promising tool in this space. What I find essential in apps like yours is the integration of health data tracking - something that can monitor and record my granddad's vital signs or any significant changes in his health. Features like medication adherence are already helpful, but adding a health dashboard would be a game-changer for us. Looking forward to seeing such features in your app!

@veles48 Your app Nool sounds really helpful for remote caregiving! In my experience with my grandmother, combining digital tools with personal care is key. We use a few apps for medication reminders and scheduling, which are great for managing her daily routine. But what's truly invaluable is the personal care she receives from her local caregivers. For this, we turned to home care services offered and had no regrets. They assist with her daily needs, ensure she's active and engaged, and provide that crucial human connection. It's this blend of tech and personal attention that really makes a difference in her quality of life. Perhaps Nool could integrate with such services, bridging the gap between digital management and physical care.

Great initiative with Nool! In my experience, a feature for emergency alerts would be critical. Many seniors live alone, and having a quick way to notify family or emergency services could be a lifesaver. It’s about peace of mind for both the seniors and their families.

It's fantastic to see your dedication to creating a meaningful solution like Nool. Given the importance of staying connected and managing healthcare remotely, your focus on medication reminders and easy video calls is spot on. I believe integrating features for monitoring vital signs or health metrics, along with a streamlined interface for coordinating care plans among family members and professionals, could greatly enhance the app's utility. Your commitment to improving the lives of seniors and caregivers is admirable.
