Any tips for decreasing editing time?

Editing a video right now, I'd consider myself and intermediate editor. I did it in college and did it sometimes for work.
However, I'm trying a new editing style with TONS of cuts, captions, and a b-roll. We're a good 5 hours in on this 3-minute video.
Does anyone have any tips or tools to cut down editing time?

No tool can save you if a 3-minute video takes you 5+ hours to edit, haha.
