Share your product early - honestly any developer (whether self taught or not) can be on a spectrum from terrible to brilliant. Sharing your product might kick off some conversations. Also, asking technical questions about how people achieved X, and how you're thinking about going about it might get you some good feedback. Seasoned devs love to argue over the best way of doing something, so you'll probably start some arguments and learn that way. So, to kick off - what problem are you solving, and what's your tech stack?

@matt_harbord Thanks for the great advice! I'm currently building a night event ticketing platform for students. It gives them the ability to host their own events and see what other students are attending the same event. My tech stack is simple: JavaScript, React Native and Firebase

How is your computer science qualification related? Is your SaaS very deep-techy? You need to focus on marketing. Plan everything ahead, prepare ahead (you won't have time during the launch). Add badges to your site from before. Get your marketing copy viewed by a few people in your target market to see that it is taken well.

@agamm thanks for the advice I will definitely follow through on this! My SaaS is not really deep-techy but sometimes I just feel like I'm doing things wrong even if it works.
