Could you help clarify how digital signatures contribute to data integrity, non-repudiation, and authenticity, and why these qualities make them distinct from traditional signatures?
Malisha Creancy
@scottjames_007 Definitely! When a signer creates a digital signature, they use their private key, which is known only to them, to encrypt the document's hash. Anyone with access to the signer's public key can decrypt the signature and verify that it matches the hash of the original document. As the private key is unique to the signer, they cannot deny their signature since only their key could have produced the valid signature. Plus, digital signatures provide authenticity by utilizing the signer's digital certificate, which includes their public key and other identifying information. The digital certificate is issued by a trusted Certificate Authority (CA), verifying the connection between the signer's identity and their public key. When a signatory verifies a digital signature, they can check the certificate's validity and the CA's trustworthiness to confirm the authenticity of the signer. I think digital signatures are only as secure as hard they are to replicate.
Malisha Creancy
@nirnimes Agreed! Digital signatures are indeed designed to be highly secure and difficult to replicate, but their security relies on several factors, including algorithmic strength, proper key management, randomness, and the security of the certificate infrastructure. @malisha_creancy Is there a free plan I can try? We do have some agreements that we get signed digitally, would love to learn more about this!

Great question about digital signatures! ๐Ÿš€ Digital signatures are a game-changer in the modern world. Unlike traditional signatures, which are done on paper, digital signatures use cryptographic techniques to verify the authenticity and integrity of digital documents or messages. The beauty of digital signatures lies in their security and non-repudiation features. They ensure that the signer's identity is validated and that the content hasn't been tampered with since the signature was applied. This is crucial for sensitive documents and online transactions. By the way, speaking of innovation and tech advancements, have you heard about ProApp? It's an edtech application that's been making waves today on Product Hunt. It offers a unique way to learn design skills in a fun and interactive manner. I think you might find it intriguing! Check it out here: (https://www.producthunt.com/prod...)
