Am I the only who's skip almost all AI products on PH?

I like AI don't get me wrong but I'm so bored out by all those "AI product" that are just in fact a UI sleeve of ChatGPT with the exception of a couple of premade commands... Am I the only one who feel that way?

Once I discovered the OpenAI API about 2 years ago, any AI product seemed like a ripoff, but at least people were running fine-tuning through their app. These days it's just running a couple of prompts and OpenAI doesn't have fine-tuning yet for 3.5+...

@backseosoftware Yes that's the thing. I feel like people are seeing an easy way to make a product but the problem is that there is already 1000 pdf reader why make another one without having a competitive advantage or a niche? Any way... 😅

@olivier_cote Exactly. Plus, many of the products would be better if they didn't utilize AI. AI is pretty slow and not efficient when compared to quality code. It's a buzzword currently, unfortunately. Just like how people were developing blockchains when a simple database or .json file would suffice.

I strongly agree by the fact that you are admitting the AI products are envisaged but not authentic. PS: I believe in hard coding but also, I feel AI makes it easy when you can assess it properly.

The issue at hand is that the majority of AI implementations involve adaptations of ChatGPT for various purposes, often resulting in distortions.
