Hey Melvin. It is better to build the community not around the product, but around the topic that people interested in. Community and selling are not together. People love the real community because they could get the value for just being the part if this community.
Speaking about feedback - you need to confirm that your users are ready to share the knowledge inside the community. It needs time from your users to share their experience in the community. Or you need to moderate that - it is very time consuming.
