Do you have an established Design/UX process or go to tool? (Not prototyping)

Every company I've ever worked at/for has dramatically different ways of accomplishing the same task. I've done a ton of research and can't find any solutions for such an important part of our work. We have a million prototyping tools (See Sketch v. Figma v. Framer v. XD) Am I missing something?
