5 things I've learned during my 20 years of working life

1. Stop making excuses! 2. Set clear goals and don't give up until you achieve them! 3. Focus, don't multitask! 4. Learnings are only useful if you are applying them consistently! Otherwise it's just knowledge. And knowing is not the same as doing! 5. "If you're not getting better, you're getting worse!" What advice you can share?

Completely agree. I can also add: Get used to challenges and be patient with failures. They make you stronger.

Thanks for sharing, Simona. Your insights resonate. Especially love the reminder about focusing and not multitasking so important. If you're not getting better, you're getting worse is a powerful mindset.

All are spot on. Especially #5 There are actually many versions of it. "Every moment of your existence You're either growing into more or retreating into less. Living a little more or dying a little bit." "We don't stop playing because we grow old We grow old because we stop playing" "Life is a use it or lose it proposition" "He not busy being born is busy dying" Here're a few I like to remind myself: 1. Never mistake motion for action. 2. No what matter what you say, your actions reveal the truth. (Be a doer, not a talker) 3. Ask for what you want. Don't wait. If onlys are soul crashing. When in doubt, kiss that girl. 4. Default to NO. You can do anything, but you cannot do everything. Defend your time. 5. You are the product of how you spend your time. Your discourse becomes your course. 6. Do the most obvious thing longer than anybody else. 7. Impatient with actions, patient with results. 8. Time will carry most of the weight if you are consistent. Stay in the game long enough to get lucky. 9. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes. Better judgment is everything. 10. Easy and success are not friends. Anything worthwhile takes more work than you think. ps: I got tons more, perhaps for another time.

Awesome points Simona, I agree 100% with all of them. For me some added ones would be: 1. If you truly want it, Never Ever Give Up, Only you Can Make You Fail, stay the course. 2. Get out of your comfort zone, your accomplishment won't mean as much if you didn't work for it. 3. Stay humble, if you know you're the best, then that's all the people that need to know. 4. Always respect and learn from those that have come before you, sometimes wisdom beats out talent. 5. Lastly, stay calm, the bigger the problem, the cooler you need to remain to take back the initiative.
