I have a problem with my daily work. I make mistakes with estimations of my tasks, I frequently underestimate them. Which methods do you use to estimate your tasks and how to make it more predictable?

Currently, I estimate my tasks for two-time points: 1. Optimistic time. Example, "I will finish this task for 1 hour" 2. Pessimistic time. Example, "If something will happen wrong, I will finish tasks before 3 hours" Some times this method works for me. I try to be between two endpoints.

Hi @ikarov, perhaps a difficult question to answer, but do you have an idea how much you underestimate? If you knew an approximate time (2-3 hours), or percentage of time (15-20%) then you could factor that in.
