Do you have a custom app or did you build one yourself?

Hey all Makers! I am a web and mobile developer with more than 10 years experience. Over the last years more and more business are looking to build their own mobile app or PWA. Observed that the most of small and medium businesses are building simple apps, not so much custom needs in this case. My questions for people which have small and medium business or any of you if you have your own opinion over this are. Do you think an app builder can do the job in this case? If you're in a similar situation of needing an app, would you pay a monthly fee for keeping the app data and having a CMS where you can live edit everything in your app? If you used any of the current solutions like ShoutEm, how was your experience? Cheers!
