This year started with a very ambitious personal goal. It’s about trying to launch (or help to launch) 12 ideas on this year. Once a month, at least. January 23rd marked the big day, and against all odds, we clinched the 5th spot — a feat on the most competitive day of the week, if not the month. https://stimch.com/ not only got featured but also earned a spot on Product Hunt’s official LinkedIn page and made it into the daily newsletter, reaching over a hundred of thousand of indie makers. I took on the role of a hunter to guide the team behind. Sure, some might dismiss it as “vanity metrics,” but hold on, something intriguing unfolded. Google Analytics spilled the beans — a whopping +550 views, with 60% flooding in on launch day, 30% the following day, and the remaining 10% trickling in as steady daily visits for a week. Delving into distribution and geolocation, we discovered some promising new markets. User-wise, we welcomed 31 contacts post-launch, with about 10 taking the plunge into becoming active users. Let’s talk numbers — a funnel story: Votes led to visits with an impressive 95% conversion. Visits, in turn, translated to registered users, boasting a modest 5% conversion (1.7% to qualified users). Feedback-wise, we soaked in 190 comments, 40 of which were pure gold for validating our proposal. Is it enough? Is it worth it? Well, that’s subjective. Stimch caters to tech companies looking for budget-fair marketing automation tools, and many of them are active on Product Hunt. The real test lies ahead — will these users evolve into paying customers, and how can we scale this? Lessons learned — here’s the takeaway: 1. Set Clear Goals: Exposure, badges, or genuine users — define your objective. 2. Choose the Right Day: Tuesdays and Wednesdays are battlegrounds; other days are less competitive but offer less exposure. 3. Take care: Many people will offer you magic solution to gain exposure. My view, it isn’t time for magic. Let’s work 4. Seek Support from Fellow Founders: They’ve been there or will be — focus your energy on them. What’s on the horizon? February brings a new idea, armed with lessons from our first venture. This time, it’s a Wednesday launch, with a clear goal — validation, no fake votes or vanity badges needed. We’re also testing the waters on other platforms simultaneously — an experiment that could be a game-changer or a lesson in resilience. Time will tell. Need a hand with your launch? Count me in! I’ll be right there with you on this exciting journey.
