Any product niches for solo founders?
With almost every product niche being filled with dominating products that are super hard to compete against, are there any product niches left for solo founders?

Depends on the kind of animations. If they are Lotties (basically JSON files), you have to rely on lossless compression algorithms (gzip/brotli). I'd recommend Cloudflare, imgix for images (imgproxy by EvilMartians if you want to self-host, its open-source), or use object storage such as a S3 bucket (quite inexpensive).

It's hard to predict, but I believe Threads from Meta might sunset within the next 5 years (I might be wrong here) along with the wannabe Twitter rival Bluesky, and I'm very uncertain about the future of Twitter/X. Also, I believe that all those low-effort ChatGPT-based AI products will soon become obsolete.
What do you think? Which companies will not be here in 5 years?

Where do you source music for your product videos?
Where can you find commercial music? I'm searching for music under a CC license (excluding cc-nc, cc-nc-nd, and cc-nc-sa). Or do you license it?

Notion acquires Skiff, what next?
I really loved the custom domain feature on Skiff email, until today when I tried to register another account for a subdomain but was greeted with the shutdown notice.
Now, users have 6 months to migrate their data from Skiff to somewhere else. The only quick and cheap solution I could find was to use Cloudflare's email routing feature to forward emails from my apex domain and subdomains to...

I'd not use it yet for photorealistic avatars, but they work great for something like a sketch or even a pixel-art (only for non-professional use).

Are you generating dynamic social previews for your dynamic content?
Sharing plain links for your dynamic content on social platforms does little to help in attracting potential visitors to your site. People are more likely to click on your link if they can preview what to expect from the target page.
We've open-sourced the dynamic image generation service behind Storiny, with a very permissive license: https://github.com/storiny/og

Seeing how the AI industry boomed with the launch of ChatGPT in late 2022 (less than 2 years ago), I feel we'll see major changes in the industry in the upcoming decade. Regarding AGI, I don't think it's going to happen anytime soon. The relevant technology is still in its infancy stage and requires a ton of supervised learning on bulky machines.
Are we nearing artificial general intelligence, or is it still beyond reach?
