Make something people feel.
I know we are busy, super busy - I get it. We are all hacking away, working on our projects, which is great. The goal is to hit that sweet spot and really ship something that people want. I've been building products and solving problems for years and one thing that is true for almost any product that I use on the daily, is that - it makes me feel something. Relief, Happiness, more efficient, optimized, better organized, etc. I've been asking myself this question lately: Will the thing I'm building, make people feel something? Curious to see if anyone else is doing this?
Spotify makes me feel, all the feels - how about you?
How do you deal with burnout?
Burnout and depression turned my life upside down a few years ago, I went from an ambitious high-performer to a lucky run if I get out of bed. I remember hating everything related to a career and goals that I used to love, feeling empty inside, really empty, I'm not talking metaphors here. It is a feeling that I do not wish on anyone. With ups and downs, sometimes feeling very accompanied and sometimes very lonely, I managed to recover after many attempts. I managed to love what I do again and change my meaning of success, of what I want and how. Those who have been through it know that it is a before and after. Since my recovery, I decided that helping this not happen to anyone else would be part of my life goal.
What's the last acquisition channel that failed for you?
I'll start first: Facebook Ads. We've realized it's simply too early to advertise there (most SaaS companies were optimizing for 12-20 months return on investment, so they could allow to spend much more to acquire a customer). What about you?
