I work in software delivery, where every project starts with a discovery phase: calls, decks and notes that have to become stakeholders, goals, requirements, flows and a roadmap before anyone writes code. I built Discovery Phase AI to make that part faster and less error-prone. Upload what you already have, get ten linked discovery stages drafted by AI, review everything before it is saved, and export one report as PDF, Word, PowerPoint or Markdown. My goal is to make a good discovery the default, not a luxury: something a small team or an agency can produce in a day and keep consistent as the project changes. Hi everyone! I work in software delivery, where every new project starts with a discovery phase: kickoff calls, decks and notes that someone has to turn into stakeholders, goals, requirements and a roadmap before the build starts.

After doing that by hand more times than I can count, I built Discovery Phase AI, a tool that drafts that discovery from the files you already have and keeps it in one consistent report. How do you run discovery for a new software project today?

I'm launching Discovery Phase AI here on October 9 and would love to hear how others handle the discovery phase before a build starts.

In my experience it looks like this: a kickoff call, a few decks and emails, then days of turning them into stakeholders, goals, requirements, user flows and a rough roadmap, usually spread across docs and slides. And when one decision changes, the other documents quietly go out of date.
