Earlier this year I found myself job hunting again after 8+ years in product, most recently as a Product Owner in UK banking.

A job hunt gives you almost no feedback. You apply, nothing comes back, and you are left guessing whether the role was never a fit, the application was weak, or the ad was never real. With nothing to go on, everyone reaches for the same two moves: rewrite the CV, or apply to more jobs.

I did both, for months. Neither was the problem.

WorkstationAI is a workspace for running the whole hunt, and last week I shipped the part that closes the loop.

I spent months job hunting this year, and what wore me down wasn't rejection. It was not knowing which ads were real.

So I built WorkstationAI. Paste a job ad and get an A to F "should I apply?" score with a scam and ghost-job check, then CV tailoring, company research, and interview prep built from live research on that company. Free tier, pay per use, launching here on 4 August.

The hard part has turned out to be calibration, not the model. Telling someone "this is a D, don't apply" only works if they trust it. Right now it reads the ad text only, with no live check on whether the company is actually hiring. Flagging a genuine ghost job without crying wolf on every vaguely written ad is the thing I keep rebuilding.

Every application ran the same loop: read the ad, guess whether it was even real, rewrite the CV, research the company, then scramble the night before an interview to work out what that business actually cares about. 5 tools, none of them talking to each other, 2 of them billing me monthly for something I used twice.

So I built my own process to survive it, and then turned it into WorkstationAI. It launches here on 4 August.
