About

I'm a solo iOS developer focused on simple, privacy-first tools that help people build healthier digital habits. I made Touch Grass: Sleep Guard after realizing how easy it was to dismiss every screen-time reminder at bedtime. I build independently, listen closely to early users, and share what I learn along the way.

one week in — thanks, and a question about the free trial

touch grass has been live for a week now. small numbers, but the early comments taught me something: what people like most is that the lock can't be dismissed at midnight which was exactly the problem with every screen time popup i tried before building this.

two people said the free trial felt too short to actually build a new bedtime habit, so i'm thinking about extending it. if you tried it: how many days did it take before not reaching for your phone felt normal? still deciding between 7 and 14.

Touch Grass: Sleep Guard - At bedtime, the apps that keep you up just stop opening

Most screen-time apps rely on willpower: a popup you can dismiss with one tap. Touch Grass is a bedtime guard instead — pick the apps that keep pulling you back in (TikTok, Reels, Shorts), set your sleep hours, and during that window those apps simply stop opening. Need a minute? Snooze for a short grace period and it re-locks itself. Built on Apple Screen Time, fully on-device — the privacy label is literally "Data Not Collected". Free trial, then $3.99/month or $23.99/year.
