My take on this is actually 2-fold, let me take you back to the BASIC times, ADA etc... People strived to learn, they learnt, then came the modern programming languages. which imo were simpler than writing Assembly by yourself. It was basically to simplify stuff. Now, people are still finding ways to still simplify the learning of programming languages and AI happens to be the tool around that....
