About

Solo founder based in Sydney. I spent way too long reading 10-Ks the hard way, highlighting the footnotes and risk factors that most people skip. Then I tried using ChatGPT to speed it up. It was great right up until it started confidently citing revenue figures that did not exist in the filing. Plausible numbers, wrong filing, completely made up. That was the moment I realised the problem was architectural, not a prompt engineering issue. So I built Sharpread. The AI only reads the text. The financial math comes directly from SEC XBRL structured data. If the source sentence does not exist in the filing, the claim gets dropped entirely. No hallucination path.

What is your favorite use of AI right now?

My favorite usage of AI currently is helping me prototype and bring to life internal tools that help me with my daily life.

I am preparing for job interviews so I built a tool to help prepare for technical questions.

I am networking so I built a tool to help break the ice at events.

AI kept hallucinating financial numbers. So I banned it from touching them.

I was building a tool to analyse SEC filings and kept hitting the same problem. The AI would summarise a 10-K and invent revenue figures. Not close. Wrong. Confidently wrong.

So I split the job. Financial figures come directly from the SEC's XBRL structured data feeds. The AI reads the text and flags red flags. It never touches a number.

What’s something you believed in marketing or business that turned out to be wrong (myth-busting)?

Online, we re constantly exposed to different takes and opinions, which can easily shape unrealistic or skewed expectations about what actually works in practice.

And it s not just life in general; it happens a lot in business too.
