this probably requires a lot of scale but one feature I'd LOVE from invoicing software is to warn me about clients who don't pay their bills on time. I can imagine a scaled invoicing system could collect data on how long different clients take to pay their bills and then warn me as a service provider that a given client doesn't usually pay on time.

Honestly @GoogleDocs with the new tabs feature is limited but surprisingly usable -- I think especially when collaborating with less technical people, it's the one thing they're already using and comfortable with
