This launch has been a long time coming, and we're really excited for people to use it. Since our initial launch of Basedash, we've spent nearly all our time adding functionality, reliability, performance, and tool integrations to this AI agent. It wasn't until GPT-5 arrived that we finally had the capabilities we'd always wanted, namely, the ability to reliably generate multiple charts and...

Hey Product Hunt! We’re excited to share that Basedash is now available with a self-hosted option. For those who don’t know us, Basedash is the first AI-native BI platform. Think of it as having an analyst on your team who can query your data warehouse, build dashboards, and generate insights on demand, all in natural language. Up until now, Basedash has been fully cloud-hosted. That works...

Love the idea and the execution of the site. There's a ton of great tools out there and it's great to be able to get a peek behind the scenes of the people who build them. Great job @romatesla !

Wild to see you bring back up Dockhunt. We still use it as the demo db for Basedash, but I must admit I'm always interested to see that new people are signing up even this long after launch. Could be a fun one if we circled back and gave it some more love. What made you think of it? My dock has changed a lot since we launched. I should probably update it....

We’ve been heads-down for the past year refining every detail of our new AI-native platform. Our goal was to build something that feels genuinely magical—just ask a question in plain English and get a solid, trustworthy answer, and the best possible way to visualize the underlying data. We invested a ton of effort into making sure the AI truly understands your database schema right away, no...

We've been really happy using Liveblocks for presense, collaborative editing of queries, and have a lot more features planned with it. Excited to check this out!

We've been testing out Campsite for the last few weeks at Basedash, and I've become a believer in it. I think it's too early to say if I'll be able to convince the whole team to move over (old habits die hard) but I think we'll eventually use it for more and more of our internal communication. Our original use case was for a Multi.app replacement, as they've were acq by OpenAI recently. We...

We've been laying the groundwork for dashboards for a very very long time. It took a ton of effort, rethinking, refactoring, design and development work to make something that we hope feels absolutely effortless to create and maintain. You won't have to drag n drop. You don't have to write SQL (though you still can if you want to) You don't have to worry about how it looks on small or big...

Congrats on the launch! Has been a huge help with pushing a great experience with Basedash. Having a desktop app on Windows and Mac would have been out of reach for the capacity of our team, but with Todesktop, it's barely any additional effort on our end to maintain. The team is also fast to ship updates and responsive when we have questions, like with launching external windows for more...

Seems pretty useful, but the permissions it's requesting are beyond what I'd agree to. Why does it need permissions to post, DM, create lists, like, and do anything other than follow and unfollow accounts?

Love Radix! It's the only UI framework I recommend and is core to the product at Basedash. Can't imagine going back to using custom components or overly opinionated frameworks. It takes care of the hard stuff for us and we get to focus on our features.
