How do you handle personal data?

In France we have a bunch of apps that connects (scraping or API) to bank accounts, I don't know if it is possible overseas or if it is your will to go full manually, by the way this is not a downside and has a lot of benefits : I prefer my good ol' spreadsheet than automagic apps so that I can be aware of exactly each of my expenses. I've recently discovered tons of content on Netflix that I've never seen because of recommandations. I've actually liked some items besides of keywords I would never have typed ! And I felt like I was stuck in a bubble where I'm surrounded of things that I'm sure I'd like (well, 98% sure) but without the hability to discover new areas/fields. Is this kind of bubble assumed with your model?

I've been a developer for years but haven't worked in teams that much, so that I don't have a lot of experience working with Github. It seemed overwhelming to me and I've never really tried to understand how things works besides looking on source codes and posting issues tickets. This is a great project!
