About

Building The Only Billboard — one live ad at a time. Every takeover raises the price, and every previous ad becomes permanent History.

A third buyer paid $3 for our only billboard. The next takeover is $4.

Drummond Hearing became the third paid owner of The Only Billboard on October 2, after RELVE ($1) and Brick500 ($2).

The experiment is a single web billboard, not a grid of ads. One buyer owns the live slot until the next takeover. The next buyer replaces that ad, the former owner stays in permanent public History, and the next price increases by exactly $1.

That makes the current sequence $1 $2 $3, with the next takeover at $4. Three actual paid takeovers are a small milestone in participation not a promise of growth or advertising results.

$1 bought the whole billboard. The next takeover is $2.

RELVE just became the first paid owner of The Only Billboard. Their ad now occupies the entire live board.

The rules are odd on purpose: there is only one ad; a new buyer replaces the current owner; the next price rises by $1; and every displaced ad remains in permanent History.

That means the empty experiment is over. RELVE bought chapter one for $1, and someone else can write chapter two for $2. It could be a startup, an artist, a community, a joke, a cause, or something nobody expects.

The Only Billboard - One billboard. One ad. The next buyer takes it over.

One page, one live ad, no second slot. RELVE became the first paid advertiser at $1 and is live now. The next buyer pays $2 to replace it, while RELVE moves into permanent History. Part advertising product, part internet game—the only way to stay live is to keep being worth defending.
