What are your top 3 dream companies to work for right now?

If you had to leave your current job and could work at any company, in any role, what would be your top 3 dream companies?

Here are my picks:

  1. Anthropic - Arguably the most important company in history, and trying to build AI responsibly

  2. Cursor - Some of the smartest engineers working across incredibly difficult technical and design problems

  3. Linear - Super product-focused and seems like some of the highest density of talent ever

How much time do you actually lose to infra setup before writing a single line of product code?

Every developer I talk to has the same story. The idea is clear, the stack is decided, but before anything real gets built there's 3 hours of AWS configs, Dockerfiles, environment variables, and CI pipelines that have nothing to do with the actual product.

AI coding tools made writing code faster. Nobody has solved what comes after.

Is self-hosting trap for most makers?

I see so many makers spending weekends setting up n8n, OpenClaw, or Postgres on a VPS. They think they're saving money.

But your time isn't free. SSL certs expire. Updates break things. Backups fail. One 3 am debugging session and you've lost any "savings."

Unless you have compliance reasons, just pay for managed hosting. Am I wrong? Tell me why self-hosting is actually worth it for you.
