Hey Product Hunters! @tofumatt and I are back again with an official Stream Deck plugin for Mic Drop, our much-loved mic-muting app for macOS. We've seen lots of people build custom macros for their Stream Decks to interact with Mic Drop, and we figured it was high time we put together something official and deeply integrated with the app. Here's what you can expect from the plugin: 🎙️ a toggle...

Hi again Product Hunters! @tofumatt and I launched Mic Drop here a few years ago, and now, we're back for more! We've listened to loads of your feedback over the years and we've rewritten the app from the ground up, adding new features, improving performance, and finessing the design. Thousands of people rely on Mic Drop to keep them quiet during meetings, podcasts, and even online magic shows....

Hey Product Hunters! There’s a bajillion time trackers already out there. We know, because we’ve used a lot of them ourselves, and none of them met our needs as long-time freelancers and small-business-owners. So we sat down and built Turnip. It's a super simple timer that sits in your menubar and tracks your time while you work. Where it really shines is its integration with third-party...

I've been working remotely for over ten years, so I'm pretty adapted to it by now (and I sort of forget what going into an office is like!) Work/life balance is probably the trickiest nut to square, especially if you enjoy your work and/or work with people who tend to be around later in (your) day. I find it helps to take a long break in the afternoon and play some squash or go for a hike.

Take a break in the middle of the day! I've worked remotely for the past ten years, and this is probably the thing that's made the biggest impact—especially as I'm in Europe, and I usually work with teams mostly based in the US. I have a nice quiet mostly-uninterrupted work session in the morning, then I get out, see the sunshine, do some exercise when there are fewer people around, and then I...

👋 Hello Product Hunt! We're Octopus Think 🐙💡 and we're super-excited to announce our very first Mac app! It's a menu bar + keyboard shortcut app to help you control your mute status during video calls. We call it Mic Drop 🎤 (or sometimes, behind closed doors, "Fart Button," because we're six years old at heart. 💨) Both Matt (our Chief Technical Octopus) and myself (Chief Design Octopus) have...

I'd ❤️ for this to be available to other browsers as well! There are so many browser extensions that are Chrome-only. 😭

Lovely idea—and great work on the favicon especially! It's always such a pain to make them work well, but that teensy little brain really communicates the concept nicely. 🌟

As someone who's often quite animation-stupid, this seems like a lovely tool, and the interface is super cute. ❤️

Neat idea! It might be a good call to have some suggested paths, in case people aren't sure ("popular skills"), or to suggest complementary skills (ie, I'm currently a ______. What do I learn next?", or just categories. This may provide a bit more value than the logos, which don't really tell the learner a great deal up front, but have very high prominence. Also, it doesn't seem to work in...

Kinda wild that it varies so much by state—thanks for making this!

Yes! Good use of the sort of dystopian look of a mask too, although I think there could be some room to play with the "silencing" concept that sort of goes hand-in-hand with a mouth covering.
