How do you know when a marketing channel is no longer worth the effort?

Sometimes a channel brings steady traffic but very few people actually become customers. It s tempting to keep going because the numbers still look good especially when you ve already spent months working on it. I think the hard part is knowing whether to give it more time or move that effort somewhere else. What do you usually look at before deciding to stop investing in a channel?
