Iā€™m a hair salon manager with over 20 years of experience managing 40+ employees across multiple departments and locations. My work covers everything from daily operations and business strategy to customer service, scheduling, staffing, and team development. Vacay was born from a problem I dealt with firsthand: managing employee time off while protecting the schedule and avoiding staffing gaps. I searched for a simple tool that showed who was off, when, and how it affected coverage, but most options were too complicated, inefficient, or built into expensive HR platforms. So I built Vacay ā€” a simple time off management tool for small businesses.
