About

We live at a time when you can tell your computer what you want and it builds it. I'm helping serious software teams adopt agentic coding (eg. Claude Code, Codex) with Spec Driven Development and Governance. The future where you describe what you want and the software gets built is real, and it is close. Spec Kitty is how you get there from here without losing the codebase, the team, or the process you spent two decades earning. The point of Spec Kitty is not to make software development less human. It is to make the human parts harder to lose.

What was the most surprising finding after you launched on Product Hunt?

People spend a lot of time preparing for a product launch, but after every campaign, they usually look back and think, "We could have done this better."

Not because they didn't prepare, but because there were things they simply didn't know beforehand.

Does anyone use Codegraph for token savings and effeciency?

Codegraph was recommended to me: https://github.com/colbymchenry/...
I've now run our benchmark on it and the results were negative: +6,094 estimated tokens, +4,046 tool-output tokens, +54.3% API-rate cost.
I think a lot of tools do a cool thing, but don't necessarily lead to better agentic coding or saved tokens.

https://analyzer.spec-kitty.ai now has the benchmark results for codeanalyzer built in but doesn't include it in the recommended list of token-saving tools.

1000 days and counting...

Broken only by my trip to Burning Man in 2023 after which I got back on Product Hunt on September 8, 2023 I just hit my 1000 day streak again.

Which is a curious milestone, given that there was a day back in April where Product Hunt hit over 1000 products launched in a single 24 hour period.
