Six terminal tabs and not one of them has made a brew

Hello Product Hunt, I'm Rich, the developer behind Rig.

Quick scene setting. It's Monday morning. You open your laptop to carry on with a project. Dev server in one tab. Database in another. A queue worker in a third, which it turns out died about an hour ago and told nobody. Tab four is you running lsof again because something is sitting on port 3000 and you have no idea what. Tab five is a log you're tailing. Tab six is the one you forgot about entirely.

I built Rig: the missing eyes for your AI coding assistant

Hey all, Rich here, I built Rig.

Short version of why. I kept watching my assistant write good code and then have absolutely no idea it was running against a dead database, or that the port it wanted was already taken by something from three projects ago. I was the courier, copying terminal output into a chat window so the assistant could tell me what I already knew. That got old fast.

Rig is the fix. One window for every local process, database, port and log on your Mac, and a local MCP hub that lets Claude, Cursor and the rest actually see and act on that environment instead of guessing at it. Nothing leaves your machine and nothing happens without you confirming it first.

Rig - Your whole local dev environment. One window.

Run, watch and restart every local process from one Mac window — live logs, ports, and MCP for Cursor or Claude. Free in beta. Download now.
