What's great
I really like how the agent asks thoughtful questions about my project — it helps me visualize and refine my ideas as I build.
The UI is clean, intuitive, and working directly on PRs feels seamless.
There’s a lot of potential in this app, and I’m excited to see how it evolves.
The founders are active and supportive, and I really appreciated how quickly they helped fix a few bugs I encountered.
What needs improvement
It would be great if future updates added the ability to edit code directly with the agent and preview projects within the app itself.
Overall, it’s a really solid product with a lot of promise.
vs Alternatives
It feels like working alongside a partner or fellow developer, which makes collaboration on a single project much easier.
I can ask it to create specific functions, and it always confirms the details with me — ensuring that the code it writes is accurate and not just random AI output.
The support team at Compyle has also been excellent and really responsive.
Is branch and PR automation dependable across workflows?
Compyle’s branch and PR automation is highly reliable because it’s built around its task-based workflow.
Each project consists of multiple tasks, and every task automatically generates its own branch and Pull Request.
This approach keeps changes isolated, organized, and easy to review or merge — regardless of the overall Git workflow.
While Compyle supports various workflows, it aligns most naturally with the GitHub Flow model, where short-lived branches represent individual pieces of work.
Personally, I find this workflow the most efficient and best suited to how I like to work.
How interactive are the real-time stop-and-ask checkpoints?
I like that it pings me when real-time checkpoints appear — I can keep working on other tasks while it handles the current one in the background.
Can you tune its prompts and validation rules easily?
Yes, I can do that — each question helps me fine-tune my prompt and validation rules.
I can also define these settings before starting a project.
