iOS Developer & Indie Maker

About

I'm an iOS developer who builds apps solo — from idea to App Store. Currently working on Skill Decay Tracker — an AI-powered app that shows you which skills are fading and helps you keep them alive with personalized micro-challenges. Built with Swift 6, SwiftUI, SwiftData, and three AI providers (Claude, GPT-4o, Gemini). I'm passionate about the intersection of neuroscience and software — specifically how spaced repetition and the Ebbinghaus forgetting curve can be turned into practical tools for developers, students, and lifelong learners.

Solo dev from Belarus — built an app that shows which skills you're forgetting

Hey Product Hunt! I'm Pavel solo iOS developer from Belarus.

Think about this for a second.

Students spend months preparing for exams then forget 80% of the material two weeks later. Developers learn React, TypeScript, Docker, AWS but only use two of them on their current project. Language learners grind Duolingo every day then can't hold a basic conversation after a month off.

We're all learning constantly. But nobody tracks what's quietly disappearing.

Skill Decay Tracker - See which skills you're forgetting — fix it in 2 min/day

Most apps help you learn. Almost none help you not forget. Skill Decay Tracker shows each skill as a live health score (0–100%) that decays over time based on the Ebbinghaus forgetting curve. When a skill starts fading, AI generates a personalized 2-minute micro-challenge to bring it back. Works for any domain: coding, languages, music, academics. Built solo with Swift 6, SwiftUI, and 3 AI providers (Claude, GPT-4o, Gemini).

How do you decide what features should be free and what should be paid?

Let me start from the creator s perspective:
I personally don t have a product (apart from hiring people for creative work or offering personal consultations).

But as a creator, I constantly share content, insights, and information, value that helps me build trust (for free). Based on that perceived expertise, people eventually decide to work with me (a paid service).
