The old Coming Soon pages have officially retired (and you lot noticed). From now on, every new product you create gets its own forum thread. It is your place to share updates, drop teasers, or just shout into the void while you wait for launch day. People can still follow from your forum page to get notified when you go live, but now you can actually start the conversation early.

Over the past year, I ve noticed more founders stepping into the course creator role. Some are sharing genuine frameworks, while others lean heavily on personal branding and hype.

A recent example is App Mafia: a group of young founders (Zach Yadegari, Blake Anderson, Alex Slater, Connor McLaren) who claim to have built mobile apps valued at over $100M. They just launched a $997 marketing course, and the reaction online has been mixed.

I noticed that Product Hunt discontinued the teaser / coming soon section this week, and I m curious if it did help you build genuine traction?

Yesterday, I came across an article on TechCrunch that OpenAI is upgrading ChatGPT search with shopping features.

Slowly but surely, ChatGPT is taking over Google's role and doing it well. I ve noticed it myself, especially how it s replaced much of my browsing.

It's the weekend and I'm guessing that PH community managers aren't the only ones doing their jobs right now. There are more of us here. Including you who just launched your product, or me who spent almost 3 hours on a work call on Saturday.

Since we're working online and remotely, it's hard to blur the line between what's work, what's "leisure" web browsing, and what's real life.

Yesterday, I announced Product Hunt Gems, a Reddit community and newsletter for great products that were not featured on Product Hunt.

Our team has looked for such "hidden gems" since the beginning of the year, and below you will find some of the best ones that were launched in January. You'll find several more in our newsletter. I will post gems from February here tomorrow.
