About

I’m a 17-year-old student, independent AI researcher, and software developer from Romania. I’m passionate about understanding how artificial intelligence works, from the mathematics behind neural networks to designing optimization algorithms and building real-world AI systems. I’m an ICYS 2026 Gold Medalist and the solo founder of AI-Atlas (getaiatlas.com), a platform I independently built to evaluate AI engineering skills through actual GitHub projects. Beyond software development, I conduct independent research in machine learning and help make AI education more accessible to fellow high-school students. I’m here to connect with other builders, exchange ideas, learn from the community, and hopefully create things that make a difference!

Hey Product Hunt community! 👋

I'm a 17-year-old student, independent AI researcher, and software developer from Romania. I dream to work as an AI researcher at a frontier lab someday :) Over the past few months, I've been building AI-Atlas entirely on my own, from the initial architecture and API integrations to the AI evaluation system, frontend, backend, and production deployment.

The idea started with a question I kept asking myself:

  • How can we actually evaluate someone's AI engineering skills beyond their resume, GitHub stars, or number of followers?

What would make a README score useful to you?

I'm Oleksandr, one of the makers of README Score.

It reads a GitHub repo or a pasted README and gives a score out of 100, with a fix for every miss, down to the line. There are 28 fixed rules and no AI, so the same README always gets the same score. Every threshold is public: https://readme.flisk.si/checks

AI-Atlas - Your GitHub’s AI projects, scored from the actual code

AI-Atlas evaluates public GitHub code—not stars or followers—to reveal what developers actually build. Every AI project gets an explainable score using a 7-part rubric, mapped across six fields: ML, Computer Vision, Data Science, NLP and LLMs, AI Agents and MLOps. Map any GitHub profile for free. Claim yours to explore file-level evidence, join opt-in global, country and project leaderboards, add a live README badge and get a free improvement roadmap. Built solo by a 17-year-old student.
