NotchLive 1.9: speaker-aware meetings, still local

NotchLive 1.9 is live.

The app started as private live captions for Mac. This release turns those captions into a meeting record you can actually review and use.

On Apple silicon, NotchLive can now separate remote speakers locally. After a meeting, you can rename participants, merge duplicate speakers, reassign or split incorrectly attributed speech, and leave uncertain parts visibly unresolved.

The reviewed record powers Meeting Analytics, speaker-aware exports, portable meeting data, and optional read-only local MCP access for Codex and Claude.

Five months of NotchPad: what changed since launch

When I launched NotchPad on Product Hunt in February, it was intentionally small: notes, clipboard history, and reusable snippets inside the MacBook notch.

Five months and more than 20 releases later, it has grown into something much more complete.

Here s what changed.

Notes became a proper workspace

What’s changed in NotchLive since launch

When I launched NotchLive on Product Hunt, it was mainly a Mac app for private live captions and translation.

It has grown quite a bit since then:

  • A dedicated microphone engine called K kako for clearer, more responsive microphone captions

  • Meeting Intelligence with summaries, decisions, and action items

  • Voice Notes

  • Saved sessions, exports, and Live Timeline

  • Ghost Mode for screen-sharing workflows

  • Team Packs for multiple users

  • A redesigned interface across the app

The original idea remains the same: speech recognition runs on-device, no meeting bot joins your calls, and free live captions remain free.
