Best, quick features to set up?

Hi! I m Ben, and I manage community support here at Product Hunt. We recently signed a new contract with @Intercom that has loads of new features, almost to the point that it s overwhelming

We had tried Fin in the past before the recent update (Fin 2.0?), and I ve been working on updating our help articles to make Fin work better whenever I have time. While Fin is a priority, I m also curious:

  1. What features have others first implemented that were most impactful to your work? It could be data-wise or a reduction in volume! Anything making your team s work easier, with ~ideally~ minimal effort

  2. What s been the best way for you to get everything set up? Navigating the Intercom Community, working with their team directly, reviewing help articles yourself, or something else?

Thanks in advance for any advice!!

What new features would you like to see in ProductHunt in 2025?

For me:

  1. TikTok-like launch party / AMA livestream

  2. "Where Are They Now?" Tracker of products 3-6-12 months post-launch

  3. Feed of launch stories sharing successes, failures and tips like a substack community/feed

  4. Pre-launch AI scoring + domain-specific expert advisory

  5. Generative launch creatives for social media distribution

  6. "This vs. That" Showdowns head-to-head product debate & polls

  7. Dedicated boards for more content diversity: hardware, non-AI tools, pre-orders, alpha user invitations etc.

  8. Launch-in-public real-time analytics (visitor heatmaps, referrals, engagement - inspired by hunted.space)

  9. Different display views of daily product launches (inspired by PHDeck)

  10. More fun gamification in points system (interactive badges, referral, waitlist pre-launch)

  11. Better search filters (category, reviews, personalized recommendations)

  12. Founder matching hub for advisory and mentorship

@rajiv_ayyangar Curious to learn more about ProductHunt's future roadmap! :)

How to Product Hunt Launch during the weekend

We probably spend less time online during the weekend since we take a break from work and want to enjoy time with family and friends, go out, and relax. Understandably, fewer people are available to support our product over the weekend. Here are a few things that might help: Request follows for the "Notify Me" page well in advance. Use a more private email for notifications instead of a work email, as people are less likely to check work emails over the weekend with work emails, they ll see them probably on Monday. Send two messages to be safe: one a few days before the launch during the workweek and another right on the weekend. Engage with users who have the highest streaks those who open the app daily, even on weekends. They re more likely to support your product. Be active on social media and talk about this launch. Would you add something?

What do you do on your days off? ☀️

I usually go on drives and go to parks, meet up with friends etc. Wonder how y'all utilize your breaks!

Would you use a Markdown Hosting Service ?

Hey Hunters! I had this idea a few days ago and it's been in my mind the whole time. Would any of you use a markdown hosting service that comes with full-text search, team collaboration, public and private sharing capabilities? If yes, what exactly would you do with it

What adorable apps you use?

Do you use any apps that make you feel warm and fuzzy? Which cute product branding has caught your eye?

How do I validate my web application idea.

After being desperate paying my bills, I went to search for apps that offer temporary work and get paid instantly. There was no option to opt to use my credit card as the vetting in the current system takes more than banking does and most work is minimum wage and the funds are usually held by agencies prior being deposited. Can you validate idea behind www.taskmagnet.com

Need help, Basic SAAS products user feedback

Hi! I have created a basic feedback form to understand user behaviour w.r.t SAAS products. Please spare 2 minutes to fill up this: https://forms.gle/hGqJg2sirVNLuuaz8 Any suggestions are highly appreciated

Why is documentation so painful :( ? Which tools enable you to document more?

We have been trying to understand different types of documentation in an organization and the pain points related to them. Except for code comments and postman API docs, documentation is manual and time-consuming or doesn't exist at all. Is it the tool problem or the motivation problem? Has any product enabled you to document more in your workspace? (like notion enabled me to document more personally but not professionally) What are the products that you use for documentation? Something that reduces your documentation effort and promotes more async work! Most of the users, that we talked to, documented on confluence or google docs!
