What's the best platform for organizing meetups?

Hey everyone. What's your opinion on this? I see people use meetup.com or Facebook events usually. Sometimes Eventbrite (personally my least favorite). Which do you prefer and why?

I'm Rosie, I've built a 7 fig business, led community at IH, now building a community @Orbit. AMA 🔥

Hey everyone! I'm Rosie Sherry and I love building communities. I started about 15 years ago with meetups, I then started Ministry of Testing and boostrapped that to $1.5M annual revenue over 10 years. I still (co)own, but don't run the business day to day. I led the community over at Indie Hackers for a couple of years. More recently I started Rosieland, a community for community builders. This has evolved over the past couple of years, from a newsletter, to a paid newsletter and now to a community with a 'community garden' approach. Rosieland is still my side-gig as I recently joined Orbit

I’m Greg Isenberg, CEO of Late Checkout. AMA 🔥

I spend all my time thinking about community-based products and web3. Ask me anything about what I mean by that, where the world is going, which products I love, or whatever else is on your mind. Literally, ask me anything!

What's a product that you wish you could bring back from the startup grave?

For me it would have to be the Anki robot! Loved that little thing!

What are you obsessed about?

I've always been curious about emerging behaviors and nascent trends. That's one of the inspirations for starting Product Hunt. What niche topic are you obsessed about right now and why?

I’m Rosie Sherry, I build communities and I'm the founder of Rosieland. AMA 🔥

I m Rosie Sherry and I ve been building communities for quite some time! I m here to answer anything and everything I can about community building. Here are some of the things I ve done: - I started back in 2006 with a local Girl Geek Dinner Meetup - I founded Ministry of Testing, an indie, 7 figure revenue and profitable community of practice for software testers. I handed this community over for someone else to run (I did not sell it). - I led the community at Indie Hackers for a couple of years - I started Indiependent, a small community for indie founders where people get kicked for inactivity - I ve been writing about community at Rosieland (covering community growth, flywheels, Minimum Viable Communities, Community Discovery, and much more!) - I breathe, eat, sleep community Ask me anything about community, I can cover things like: - Tools to use, or not - Community on a budget - Community as a business - Minimum Viable Communities - Community Discovery - Community Growth & Flywheels - Building a sustainable community - Community trends - Why so many people are getting community wrong! I'll be answering questions on the 7th of September!

What are your 2023 predictions?

Predictions are always fun especially when you can tally them at the end of the year. What are yours?

You have $100K. What would you invest in?

Imagine you have $100K to invest in a company that launched on Product Hunt in the last year. Which one would you choose and why? Note: You can visit your profile at producthunt.com/my/profile and select "Activity" to see what you've upvoted for inspiration.

Peapods - Real Social Networking.

Social networking apps were supposed to help us stay connected, but they seems to be causing an increase in isolation, loneliness, and depression in society. To mitigate these negatives, we are trying to create a new type of social networking site that puts real, intimate, in-person interaction at the center of the experience. Beta launching soon!
