I build and run CronAlive, a monitoring service for scheduled work: heartbeats for cron jobs, HTTP uptime checks from three regions, and TLS expiry warnings in one place. It started from a failure I keep running into — a scheduled job stops being scheduled and nothing anywhere reports an error, because nothing happened. Backups are the classic case: you find out in September that they died in March, on the day you need one. Solo founder, PHP and Laravel background, bootstrapped. Happy to talk about failure modes of scheduled work, monitoring that doesn't page you at 3 AM for nothing, or what it's like to sell software as one person.
