SoWork
Here is my honest review: I'm a daily user of SoWork. For me, having a feature-rich meeting platform is a must: being able to record the meeting, blur my background, or nowadays even take notes and TODO items automatically through AI. SoWork solves all of them, and adds a layer of customization and human interaction on top of it. I was tired of Slack and videochats for remote working. Feeling disconnected was my pain point, it was killing my productivity. SoWork, on the other hand, makes me feel happy and connected every time I join the office and I see my teammates working in their personalized spots, each of them with their unique look and feel, expressing themselves and moving and interacting through the map and their avatars, just like in reality. I love the map customization and its isometric perspective, it's more powerful than a flat top-down 2D, like other alternatives out there; it has the richness of 3D while still keeping the simplicity of being 2D. I'm so looking forward for even more crazy interactions, like different kinds of dancing animations, and more social games to share with colleagues!

What's great

GODOT
For an indie dev and AA game dev company, I found Godot to be a real lifesaver compared to competitors (ehem, Unity). It's free, open-source, and has an awesome community. I prefer its node system to Unreal Blueprints or Unity Game Objects, it's more versatile and it adapts well to component based architecture and to more object oriented ones. For indies, I really think it's the engine of the future. For AA devs, it will save you a ton of money and you will be able to customize the engine to your like or to fix bugs yourself without having to wait for bugfixes.

This is the only newsletter I haven't unsubscribed after 1 month. It's a nice summary about what's going on on the tech world. It takes 5 mins to read, and it is very explicit about the amount of time it takes to read the full articles or what can you expect to find inside it (images, etc)
GitKraken
Super powerful git client that rivals with others much more stablished. Powerfully-complex but clean UI, white and dark themes, and many of the git operations built-in in their menus. The only thing that I lacked was a way to turn off the graph view (I like to see just the commits of the branch I'm working on)

What's great

user-friendly interface (2)dark mode (1)

HacknPlan
The UI is a bit cluttered, but overall is a very useful tool for game developers. It allows you to reference your Game Design decisions from what they call "Game Design Model" (which I love, Game Design Documents are outdated) from agile tickets.
Loom
Loom is a dope tool for quick recording & sharing. Allows recording screen, webcam, or both + audio narration. You can even trim your vids and add captions
