Hey PH! 👋 After 5 years testing every smart glasses imaginable (we have the world's largest collection in Rotterdam!), we're launching Ally Solos Glasses - $399 AI-powered glasses that my parents literally mistake for regular glasses. We flew from Netherlands to Hong Kong to find the right hardware partner. Built this for the billion people who find tech overwhelming - blind/low vision users,...

Interesting that it's being posted right now when YOLO has been around for a while now. Any particular significance?

At first glance, it feels pretty fresh. I really love the snap to gallery feature because I find myself taking screenshots increasingly often. I also love the fullscreen mode, makes websites feel like desktop apps. Do you guys have the Opera VPN built into this one? Would love that to be added. I dont know if this would replace Chrome(because of the Dev Tools) for me but it makes things so much...

It does seem to be an interesting product but it also reminded me about this essay by Bret Victor a long time ago. http://worrydream.com/#!/ABriefRantOnTheFutureOfInteractionDesign With technologies like VR, I feel we should push for new visions of interaction design rather than super-imposing the same old interactions on new technologies. Just my 2 cents. :)

What stood out for me was the effective use of 3D Touch for check-ins. Pretty neat UX there.
