Export stuck at 0%. Have no idea what's going on. Tool tips weirdly placed covering the record button and other functionalities. Took me a while to find it.

One of the biggest pain points for Snipd is that the snips don't always accurately capture the section you want. This becomes even more difficult when the transcript isn't in sync with the audio. Even when everything is in sync, the snips sometimes cover undesired sections, and adjusting the start or end points is tedious. One of the downsides of outsourcing your outputs to AI is that you're at its mercy. While AI is helpful for getting the ball rolling, it should never fully take over. The automatic snips feature seemed awesome at first glance, but it quickly became apparent that it overwhelms more than informs. It's useful for passive and hurried users who want to get the gist or vet content before committing. However, if you're like me—committed to a curated list of content, listening from start to finish, and wanting to deeply understand—then the automatic snip feature is more detrimental than useful. It removes the deliberate action from the listening experience and promotes clutter, since there will inevitably be insights or advice that I won't care for. Also, this app is screaming for a web app version, because the information gleaned can be further used/repurposed. I wouldn't be surprised if a competitor sees this gap and makes a super learning/extraction app.

Exemplary AI
An app that does too much, except for the basics. For one, I cannot navigate to any of the highlighted sections of the transcript. How am I supposed to go over highlighted material from a 2-hour podcast if I can't jump to specific sections of the transcript for context? This is an inexcusable omission. The app focuses too much on outsourcing the ability for users to effectively repurpose content, instead prioritizing pre-generated AI content that I never specifically asked for. The clipping functionality and editing are amazing, but the process is sluggish, and I can't export clips at all. This app has so much potential, but it's trying to do too much. The import workflow is the smoothest I've ever seen, and the transcription alongside the video is excellent. But it rapidly goes downhill from there because the app is essentially useless beyond watching the video with the transcript. I can do that on YouTube! In summary: - Cannot navigate to specific sections of the transcript from the highlights/comments pane (an unbelievable omission). - Cannot export AI-generated or manual clips. - Clip generation is sluggish and lags. - Clip editing is slightly sluggish. - The "Create Story" function doesn’t work at all. - The AI content section is cluttered with posts, blogs, and other things I didn’t ask for. - Unable to preview the video in a larger size within the transcript section. While the app has amazing features, it’s trying to do too much and fails to nail the basics. If the team focused on the fundamentals instead of adding unnecessary clutter, this could be a game-changer.
