What's great
My workday often kicks off with the Open LLM Leaderboard. In a world where a new "GPT-killer" drops every other day, Hugging Face provides an objective look at what’s actually legit. Huge thanks for the tagging system and Model Cards - it makes it clear right away what the training data was, what the licenses are, and where the limits lie. Essentially, it’s the go-to hub for anyone working with AI who values transparency.
What needs improvement
Documentation for certain features can be a bit fragmented at times. I often find myself digging through discussions or forums for answers, whereas I’d prefer to see everything consolidated into a single comprehensive guide
How easy is it to find and evaluate suitable models?
The system of tags and task filters here is the best in the industry. The only downside is the massive amount of duplicate or low-quality forks in the search results, but the Open LLM Leaderboard does a great job of filtering out the noise and finding solutions that actually work
How secure is safetensors for model artifact handling?
Loading model weights in pickle format used to be like playing russian roulette due to the risk of arbitrary code execution, but now I can download and test new models without worrying about infrastructure security
