GitHired - Find your next 10x Engineer by proof of work, not keywords

GitHired lets you create autonomous hiring forms that instantly rank your applicants based on what they've actually built, not what they say they can build. Each candidate gets a one page profile showing their real tech stack usage, project depth and complexity, and contribution activity (while also filtering out fake GitHub commits). Hiring becomes 10x faster and far more accurate. Stop guessing who can code. Start seeing who does.

I'm a Startup Scout. Test Your Investor Blurb On Me.

I scout for a handful of investors in Silicon Valley. One of my jobs is to cut through the noise and surface the gems. Every so often, someone sends me a blurb that s crisp, compelling, and makes me want to learn more. When that happens, I usually take a meeting and sometimes even make intros.

That said, most blurbs I see aren t great. Founders are flying blind because no one s willing to be brutally honest with them. Let s fix that.

Six Pre-Seed Investors Every Founder Should Work With. Who Would You Add?

I had the good fortune to have a ton of great investors who backed my last company, Seedscout. Most of them are generally more private online, but I wanted to highlight some of them for founders on the fundraising trail to learn about. I d work with these folks 10/10 times again if I start something else up (no plans to right now).

Kenny Tucker (Tucker Seed Fund) Kenny is a machine. He was previously an exec at PlanGrid and Proxy, has a wealth of knowledge about this industry, and is just a gem of a human. He was incredibly helpful to me from brainstorming to capital strategy even when Seedscout was going sideways.

A Running Thread Of Ways Founders/Makers Can Grow Their Startup

As a former founder of 20 years and as Head of Ad Sales at @producthunt, I meet founders every day looking to grow their startup. But the truth is, it's hard to get distribution! And it's only getting harder as building is getting easier. I am starting a thread where I can share some ways i've grown my prior companies, with specific tactics. Feel free to add your own tactics and add to the conversation, and upvote anything you think is helpful to you and other founders.

Substack or Beehiiv?

I have both @Substack and @beehiiv newsletters. Both have pros and cons. But honestly, I don't know what one to commit to. Substack only makes money when I make money but is feature lite. Beehiiv is kind expensive for me (5,000+ subs) and feels like it could even be feature obtuse. Do I need all those features? Do i need any of them? I end up flip flopping every year. So it leads me to this question.

Do you use Substack or Beehiiv? And why?

What's the weirdest domain name you own or used to own?

Weird domain names are the unsung heroes of the internet. I used to own pollinate dot me. Basically I was drunk and thought a dating app based on people that liked to garden was a good idea

I decide what's featured on the leaderboard - AMA w/ Gabe from Product Hunt

Hi everyone, Gabe here! I lead curating Product Hunt's leaderboard.

First thing I will say is that if I could feature every single product that works, I would. I love supporting makers and demoing products. I actually try to test every single thing that gets hunted every day... which is A TON.  But I view our job as to surface the most interesting, novel, useful, and innovative products - daily. Now we may not always get it right, the process isn't perfect, but we're trying to do right by the community.

Integrating with Lovable?

Does anyone know if it's possible to use Lovable through API?

I'm exploring ways to extend functionality of Actor Ai Assistant for busy professionals with Lovable.

I Hosted a Hackathon Where Folks Had to Build A Product In Under An Hour. Here Are My Top 5.

Here are my top 5 products from my hackathon I hosted last night. Note, these all were built in an hour using AI tools like @Lovable , @bolt.new , @Replit , and @Cursor !!! Pretty nuts.

- GapFinder - Enter a topic, what you know about a topic, this it uses AI to figure out what you may not know about that topic and highlights it for you to learn (https://mind-mapper-kappa.vercel...)

- Motivational Coach - Tell an AI what your goal is, set its tone, the literally talk to the AI with your voice. It will push you to accomplish your goals. Uses ElevenLabs for the voice. (https://motivational-coach.repli...

Request for roast -- tell me why my product is trash

I've been building a tool (tool) that ingests my bank and credit card statements and builds a dashboard. It's still pretty new, but I've got a small number of users who are giving me some feedback.

I'd love to hear why you think this product is useless, confusing, lame, hard to understand, has a very weird landing page, etc.
I'm still trying to figure out which "direction" to take this project and looking to be directed by a good roast.
