GitHired lets you create autonomous hiring forms that instantly rank your applicants based on what they've actually built, not what they say they can build. Each candidate gets a one page profile showing their real tech stack usage, project depth and complexity, and contribution activity (while also filtering out fake GitHub commits). Hiring becomes 10x faster and far more accurate. Stop guessing who can code. Start seeing who does.

I'm a Startup Scout. Test Your Investor Blurb On Me.

I scout for a handful of investors in Silicon Valley. One of my jobs is to cut through the noise and surface the gems. Every so often, someone sends me a blurb that’s crisp, compelling, and makes me want to learn more. When that happens, I usually take a meeting—and sometimes even make intros. That said, most blurbs I see… aren’t great. Founders are flying blind because no one’s willing to be...

Six Pre-Seed Investors Every Founder Should Work With. Who Would You Add?

I had the good fortune to have a ton of great investors who backed my last company, Seedscout. Most of them are generally more private online, but I wanted to highlight some of them for founders on the fundraising trail to learn about. I’d work with these folks 10/10 times again if I start something else up (no plans to right now). Kenny Tucker (Tucker Seed Fund) – Kenny is a machine. He was...

A Running Thread Of Ways Founders/Makers Can Grow Their Startup

As a former founder of 20 years and as Head of Ad Sales at @producthunt, I meet founders every day looking to grow their startup. But the truth is, it's hard to get distribution! And it's only getting harder as building is getting easier. I am starting a thread where I can share some ways i've grown my prior companies, with specific tactics. Feel free to add your own tactics and add to the...

Substack or Beehiiv?

I have both @Substack and @beehiiv newsletters. Both have pros and cons. But honestly, I don't know what one to commit to. Substack only makes money when I make money but is feature lite. Beehiiv is kind expensive for me (5,000+ subs) and feels like it could even be feature obtuse. Do I need all those features? Do i need any of them? I end up flip flopping every year. So it leads me to this...

What's The Best Founder Community in SF Other Than YC?

Y Combinator is probably the best founder community in the world. What I want to know is what are the top 2-5 after them? I am not referring to accelerators as much as high signal places for builders to congregate together, connect, and build. I am in SF now and am spending time at Founders Inc., HF0, and The Residency. How do those stack up? What else is out there? Would love your thoughts.
