To be completely honest, I m writing this at a major crossroads in my life. A few weeks ago, I lost my job as a frontend developer here in China.
The reality of the tech job market here is harsh. As a 33-year-old female developer, finding a new role feels nearly impossible. I ve sent out hundreds of resumes, and almost all of them have sunk into a black hole without a single reply. The age anxiety and the environment can easily crush your confidence.
But instead of waiting endlessly for an HR email that might never come, I decided I need to build my own way out. I'm pivoting from pure frontend to becoming an indie hacker, focusing deeply on the AI Agent space.
