Every time I tried to track a funnel as a small team it ended up the same way:
Google Analytics gave me vanity metrics that did not matter for SaaS
PostHog, Mixpanel, Amplitude looked great at first but quickly buried me in features
Spreadsheets worked until they broke and I lost track of which tab had the truth
The problem is not data. It is clarity. I just wanted to know if my issue was acquisition, activation, or retention without spending weeks setting up events or bouncing between ten dashboards.
So I built Roaarrr. It is still early but the idea is simple: one funnel view, opinionated on what matters, with no bloat. If you want deep attribution or experiments you can still use other tools, but at least you start with clarity.
The best career advice I ever received was: "Don't be afraid to ask for opportunities and put yourself out there. The worst that can happen is that someone says no."
